New Beginnings in Walker

Waitress didn't want to be there and made it clear with her unfriendly manner. Coffee was weak. Food was okay but eggs were cold and I didn't get butter on the side that I asked for with my muffin. Peppermill grill nearby is much better.

My boyfriend and i went in to this location expecting quick service just like any other location.. We sat down and sat there for a half hour waiting to be served....as we sat there a couple sat after us and a gentleman sat after them. The couple that sat after us got their order taken before us. We finally got our order taken and we didn't order anything difficult. The gentleman and the couple that sat after us got their food before us at this point we had sat their for an hour and when we asked to see our server ... We didn't see her but heard her say that we are to be told that they were short staffed when there were more than enough servers on the floor and it looked like a full kitchen staff. At this point we got up and walked out the door.....i understand that things happen but we felt completely ignored and undervalued as customers.

The Waitress was very friendly and helpful!!! Visited on Thursday, July 09, 2020. I ate my meal there because only one other patron was there! It was 15 minutes before closing.

I've been to this location quite a few times and it's usually very good but this most recent time we had quite a few issues. Our waitress was not very attentive, my club sandwich was freezing and they messed up my friends burger. It is still a solid choice but your food and service may be hit or miss

Nice waitress but the biscuits and gravy was luke warm.

I have a soft spot for local diners-like restaurants where you can tell over the half the customers there are regulars, the food is simple, but good, and the place just doesn't take itself too seriously; this is one of those places. Aside from a bit of a long wait, the food was good and the staff was very friendly. Really good place for breakfast and cheap prices for college students in the area.

I can't say enough good about this restaurant!!! I haven't had a breakfast this good in years!! The portion was so large I had to have a to-go box! I am a big guy, (and I NEVER take a to-go box!)

My wife and I will stop in when we can't get a table at our regular cafe. The food is always good. Their hash browns are really good! And they understand what overeasy means. We've never had a bad experience.

Went there for breakfast as we typically like other New Beginning restaurants. When we got in we were looking for a table that would accommodate us (3 adults and 2 kids), we were looking around and there were a lot of empty unbussed tables as the staff just stared at us from the kitchen area, there was no acknowledgement, just stating. We finally found a table and I went to get a high chair, to find the whole back of the high chair sticky. After wiping it down and and going to the bathroom to wash my hands we still hadn’t been greeted or acknowledged. We looked through the menu, and all chose what we wanted to eat as we watched 2 tables that came in after us get greeted and brought drinks. After sitting there for a little longer we decided to go somewhere else, as we started to get up I heard a waitress say to the other waitress “they were JUST seated”, but again no acknowledgement, no hello, no goodbye just watched us get up and leave.

The food tasted pretty mediocre, but somehow was the only redeeming quality. The service was incredibly bad, we only received one refill on our coffees and water that were empty the whole time. We also only got the refill because we waved down our waitress for 10 minutes(not exaggerating). I have never felt less welcome at a restaurant. It was obvious that our waitress was purposefully ignoring us because we were college students, as every other table of elderly people recieved good service. I wish I would've just chosen McDonalds.

Food was good. Would like to see lower prices though.

The best new beginnings around food was good husband had cornbeef hash with eggs over easy am. Frys and toast. I had diced ham and scrambled eggs hash browns with onions and mushrooms and a pancake could not eat it all there was so much food brought it home and our two dogs and foster dog enjoyed it too wait staff was friendly and keep the coffee cup full a pleasant place for a quick breakfast

The service at this restaurant is terrible. Took 10 minutes to get drinks and waited another 15 min before deciding to leave. Coffee was watered down. When I asked the waitress for the bill for the coffee, she slammed the bill down and rolled her eyes. Will not be going back. 0/10

Great value for the money.

It wasnt bad, we ran out of our drinks often and had to wait for refills. Seating people in front of the entry way on a cold day is not rh best idea and we were 5 people crammed in a small table. The food was good

An old fashioned breakfast and lunch chain. Nothing fancy but competent service and food.

Good food. A little on the pricey side for a breakfast joint....but delicious nontheless.

I got the steak and eggs it was great. They make sure your coffee is full and hot. The staff is friendly and even with the minor hiccup of chocolate instead of white milk they took care of it right away. I was very impressed.

Mothers Day breakfast for 6. Service was good even though it was busy. The food was served hot, it tasted good, and the quantity was more than adequate.

Simple American food. I normally go for breakfast with coworkers and get an omelet. The wait staff is friendly, the food is hot, and the service is relatively quick.

We ordered two breakfast specials, upgraded toast to french toast for less than a dollar and fed our family of four!!! Excellent coffee.

This place has really gone downhill. We use to bring our kids and they could easily split a meal. Now they charge $1 for every split. Pancakes were poured from a carton and tasted as such. Order was mostly accurate but was shocked to see all the nickel and dime charges they throw at customers now. My recommendation is to reduce the kids size portions followed by reducing the cost for kids meals. Drop the extra charges at the same time. If they want to keep feeding kids large amounts of over priced food, take away the extra plate charges so that families can split the food so their kids have healthy sized portions.

We went to the Standale New Beginnings for breakfast. The pancakes were huge , but thinner, which was perfect for my grandchildren. I had perfect fried eggs and corn beef hash. Great spot for breakfast and the staff was friendly and accommodating!
